Purify your body regularly using natural detoxifiers such as prunes, lemons, grapefruit, and fish. This will remove chemical or waste in your body that could be inhibiting nutrients from reaching your hair, skin, and nails.

Minimize hair combing while showering, especially if you are shampooing your hair in hard water. Although there is a temptation to comb through conditioners, this is especially dangerous when the hair is wet, as it can be very tender to rough pulling and snags. Condition you hair, and use your fingertips to smooth it through. Do not comb it. Rinse, apply a moisturizing styling aid and toweling dry, and then comb from ends to root.

Minimize chemical treatments as much as possible. If you hair is color-treated, permed, or relaxed, make sure that such treatments are done in the correct manner, and left on for a correct amount of time. Always moisturize your hair to prevent breakage.

Limit excessive styling if growth is desired.  You do not have to wear your hair up everyday, but try to let your hair naturally thrive. Shampoo, condition, and moisturize it; but also limit excessive heat styling and elaborate styles to allow it to thrive, receiving maximum oxygen intake, adequate amounts of sun, and gentle styling.

While you are sleeping your body is working its hardest to repair cellular damage, including any hair damage. Adequate sleep is necessary for healthy hair. Additionally, try sleeping on a satin pillowcase and covering your hair with a silk scarf. This will reduce shedding and splitting potentially caused from the hair rubbing surfaces with tiny ridges as you sleep.

Try an intensive conditioner once a week to keep your locks moisturized and to keep your hair soft. To get the best from your deep conditioning treatment, apply it to your hair, then cover with plastic wrap or a plastic shower cap and leave for ten minutes before rinsing out. This will add heat and allow the treatment to penetrate. A heated bonnet is not necessary, but can be used. For a deeper condition, wrap a warm towel over the plastic wrap.

Choose the right products for your hair. If you've styled with the right products for your hair type and washed with the right shampoo, then your hair should be naturally shiny and manageable.

Eating a well-balanced diet which is full of healthy proteins and lots of vitamins will help the health of your hair and skin.

Hair Care Tips
Beautiful, healthier hair can be achieved, especially using all natural products, but it takes times. Here are some tips to guide you through the process. Be patient and see your hair transform. Always give your hair time to respond to all natural recipes and products; the use of synthetic alternatives, especially those with silicones, may lessen the ability of your hair to absorb the natural oils and humectants in the natural products due to the coating they place of the hair.

Drink plenty of water. Water not only hydrates your skin and body, it also hydrates your hair.

If you use a heated styling equipment, such as a hairdryers, hair straighteners, and curling irons, always apply a all natural moisturizer, or a heat protection product 10 minutes prior to the hair first. Heat styling causes breakage for several reasons; however, splitting is primarily caused because the heat deteriorates the hair shaft quickly due to a lack of protection and moisture on the hair. When heat is applied, moisture is further drawn from the strands, and the excessive heat---often of 1200 degrees+ causes the hair to snap.
